What You Will Learn in This Article:

  • Our power lies in the decisions we make
  • Two fundamental elements for an extraordinary life

Most people don’t discover the essence of life until they are near death. When we are younger, we spend our days striving, pressured by societal expectations. At the same time, we chase so-called grand pleasures, missing out on simple joys—walking barefoot on the sand, singing with children or loved ones, planting a rose garden, or watching the sunrise.

We live in an era where we have conquered the highest peaks, yet we struggle to master ourselves. We build taller buildings but have less patience, accumulate more wealth but experience less happiness, and fill our minds with knowledge while emptying our lives of meaning.

Live Life with Passion

Don’t wait until you are on your deathbed to realize the meaning of life and the valuable role you are meant to play. If you attended the personal development webinar “Three Steps to Success,” you have learned about the three forces and knowledge that support achieving your desired outcomes. If you missed it, please keep an eye out for the next article titled “How Can You Experience Fulfillment in Life While Achieving Your Goals?”. This next article will cover the three steps to success and more.

Talents

From what science has discovered today, we start developing our brain in the early stages of our lives and by the time we are a teen ager, we have developed our neuro-pathways such that through nature and nurture we are wired with certain natural recurring thoughts, feelings and behaviors (our talents) no matter what circumstances we find ourselves with!

Each of us is wired uniquely in that the combination of our talents means that we have the ability to contribute a near-perfect performance in certain tasks and activities. To discover and bring this potential to life, we have to follow three steps for ever as we grow and develop in our endeavors through life. Those are:

  1. Identify our talents and continue to raise our self-awareness
  2. Capture our uniqueness in our belief system and own the power we possess
  3. Execute intentionally the talents considering the circumstances presented to us

It is a great responsibility to being our best selves to the life we live. For that we must invest in our self-development in order to make better decisions every day. As we understand ourselves more, we are able to understand the uniqueness of others and build more effective relationships.

The Past vs. The Present

The Past vs. The Present

It seems that some people live facing the past. They spend their days striving for things they believe will bring them happiness instead of using their wisdom to realize that happiness is not something waiting at the end of the road—it is a state you create for yourself.

The true meaning of life reveals itself when you set aside the distractions of daily routines and realize this: “Live for something greater than yourself.” Deep satisfaction and joyful living arise when you commit yourself fully to a purpose that makes a meaningful difference to you and in the lives of others.

To create a life filled with happiness and excitement we need to create two things in our lives. The first is following the three factors that help us achieve our goals, and the second is the art of contentment. These two come together like two sides of a coin and when you have both, you have success and feel fulfilled.

I am confident that you will create a life filled with wisdom, joy, and fulfillment. I hope your days are inspired by work that excites your soul and are spent with people who bring love and meaning to your life.

As George Bernard Shaw said, “life is not a brief candle but a magnificent torch that I have been given for a moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before passing it on to future generations.”
